2001, Rescue/ALS engine. Engine used primarily for rescue operations, and ambulance assist or intercepts. Contains ALS equipment like ambulance, also contains all equipment needed for rescue incidents such as vehicle accidents. Vehicle contains 750 Gallons, w/ 1500 GPM pump.
2004, Newest addition to SFPD fleet of vehicles, contains 2000 Gallons, w/ 500 GPM pump, Front turret mounted for grass/brush fires, vehicle capable of off road operations w/ 4 wheel drive.
1977, oldest vehicle still in service in Somonauk FD. Used primarily as water tanker/tender. Contains 1500 Gallons, and a 500 GPM pump w/ booster line for small brush fires. Vehicle capable of off road operations for grass/brush fires.
1996 Front line Fire Fighting engine, equipped w/ all necessary equipment for fire fighting operations, also equipped with rescue equipment for vehicle accidents, etc. contains 1000 Gallons, and 1250 GPM pump.
2002 Utility vehicle, P/U truck, used for misc. duties, off road situations where other trucks may not travel, and traveled down to New Orleans to assist in Hurricane Katrina operations.
Command vehicle, also known as "Chief's Buggy" contains all equipment needed for an incident commander. Vehicle also contains dive equipment for water rescue team, also used to tow boat for dive / water rescue incidents.
Old out of service Pumper used in 1948-1982 in Somonauk FD as main line engine. Equipped with 500 Gallon tank, and 500 GPM pump. Now restored and used for parades etc.
ALS Ambulance equipped w/ all necessary Advanced Life Support equipment.
